Centaurea Socks

Perfect for two-colour hand-dyed yarns, this design uses the beginning of a contrasting colour as the seed for a number of loops worked into a single stitch. On the next few rows, these loops are worked into the surrounding stitches to make either a full-sized or a smaller bud. The embossed contrasting-colour stitches create a flower bed on the sock’s surface. The pattern includes links to video instructions of how to make the specialty stitches.

The sole and back side of the sock is worked in stockinette and rib respectively.

The construction is traditional, and the sock is worked toe-up with a heel flap.

Materials
Yarn: 100 g of Limmo-Design Sockgarn Flerfärgat (75% wool, 25% polyester; 459 yd/100g), or equivalent. Make sure the contrast color covers 20-30% of the yarn length and the main color covers 70-80%.
Needles and notions: Double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1½, 2 markers
Gauge: 28 stitches / 40 rounds of Stockinette stitch = 10 cm /4 inches
Sizes: Ladies XS, S, M, L

Blåklint sockor

Den här designen är perfekt att sticka med handfärgade garner i två färger. Den använder kontrasfärgen som ett frö för att sticka flera gånger genom en och samma maska. På de följande varven arbetas de extra maskorna in i de omkringliggande och bildar knoppar och blommor spridda över sockans yta. Mönstret innehåller länkar till videoistruktioner av tekniken.
