The vest is worked in the round for the most part, and is only seamed at the shoulders. It’s a quick and simple make, designed to be made in a cotton/viscose mix for the best drape possible. It’s a hip-length vest, ideal for layering but if you prefer a shorter fit, just remove rows before the upper body shaping.
