Crescent shaped shawls are so easy to wear, as they stay on without a shawl pin. They can be worn as a scarf and draped in many different ways.

Beginning with a center neck cast on, the shawl features 2 columns of yarn-over increases, plus increases at the edges. The first section is all in garter st, so you will see fast progress.
The gradient colors are graduated with the lightest color at the top, and the darkest at the lower edge.
At the lower border, there is a lace design which forms a scalloped edge with optional beads.

It will also look great in one color, or a pretty speckled yarn.

Pattern has been tech-edited for a pleasant knitting experience.

Clarification:
The lace repeat is 8 sts (at the beginning - then it grows)

The column marked as “0” is worked once at the beginning of the lace part of the row.

So, when you start the lace you have 327 sts: 3 + 1 + 320 + 3 -- with the 320 sts being a multiple of 8.
