Ceiba
When I first heard of this yak/bamboo blend from Bijou Basin Ranch, I was curious to know what it felt like. When I finally held a skein, I was amazed at the softness of the yarn despite being 75% yak, a fiber known to be itchy. I knew this yarn would make a perfect cap that would hug my head as it would feel silky on my forehead instead of scratchy.
And so, Ceiba was born.
One of my biggest wishes is to travel – as I’m sure everyone says! I want to travel around the globe. Our first stop would be La Ceiba, Honduras – my husband’s hometown.
The traveling cable on this beanie represents that wish. Hopefully, one day, soon, I’ll be able to knit on a plane to Ceiba.
Pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
