I love the feminine, figure-flattering shape of 1940s sweaters with deep ribbing at the waist. This sweater was inspired by a femme-fatale French resistance character. It is elegant and easy to wear.

Worked from the top down with a rounded yoke, I designed it to be quicker than most vintage style projects, in DK yarn with a seamless construction for minimal finishing.

Crocheted in supersoft cashmere and merino blend this short sleeved sweater is cool enough for summer and perfect for layering.

You will need 7(7,9,10) 50g balls of the main colour and 1 50g ball of the contrast colour. (50g ball of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK is 110m/120yds) This yarn could be substituted for a wide variety of DK/worsted weight yarns. Be sure to check your guage.
