Cayuga Hat and Mitten Set
This sweet set, worked in a luxurious and lofty merino and baby camel blend, feature twigs and berries and subtle details that are sure to ward away the winter’s chill. For the hat, the wide band is worked first. The rest of the cap follows with picked up stitches that are knit in plain stockinette. Extra slouch is achieved by short rows in the front. For less slouch, simply cut out these rounds. The mittens are adorned with a pared down version of the twigs and berries stitch pattern along the ribbed cuff. The motif winds around the thumb, spilling over the top and palm of the mitten. Right and left mitten feature mirror image stitch patterns. Sized to fit everyone in the family.

Note: This pattern is for both the hat and mittens; offered at a 25% discount from the price if purchased separately.

Yarn note: For the sample set, the hat uses a skein and about 25% of the second skein. The mittens use a skein and about 15% of the second skein. To make the set in the sample size (20” hat circumference, 7.5” hand circumference), 3 skeins are sufficient. For the larger sizes, purchase a fourth skein to ensure you have enough yarn.
