This pattern was designed exclusively for the TFA Year In Colour Club, March 2014, featuring the custom colour ‘Fiesta’ in Tanis Fiber Arts Cosmic Blue Label Fingering Weight yarn. Now it is available for individual purchase, with a tweak on the thumb gusset for the right mitt.

Please note that the yardage amount for the pattern is to knit BOTH the hat and the mitts (a great single skein project for a sock yarn that has good yardage). You will need about half the yardage if you are only knitting one or the other.

The pattern includes directions for both the hat and the fingerless mitts, and I also created a video to show how to do the knitted on cuff, should that be a new technique. It’s not difficult, I promise! But if you don’t wnat to do the cuff, a simple ribbed cuff would look great too.
