Sizes
Two sizes, S and L, to fit adult foot with 18-19 (20.5-21.5) cm / 7-7½ (8-8½) in circumference. Foot length is fully adjustable within the pattern. Pay attention to your round gauge, as you’ll use this to measure the finished length of the foot.

Socks generally fit well with at least 2.5cm / 1in negative ease, both widthwise and lengthwise. If you are unsure, measure the circumference and length of a sock that fits you, or if you are knitting as a gift and don’t know the recipient’s foot size, this table may be helpful.

This sock’s simple to work stitch pattern - with its pleasing appearance that in turns looks either scaled or smocked - can be found in Norah Gaughan’s Twisted Stitch sourcebook.
