Casual Friday Cowl
The Casual Friday scarf features appliqued stitching and tack buttons reminiscent of traditional jean patterns and creates a canvas that showcases gentle color shifts of kettle dyed yarn.
The scarf begins and ends with garter rib (a lovely reversible and non-stretchy form of ribbing), and continues with a body of textured stitch. I-cord is worked along each edge, and a short border of garter stitch on each side will create a home for the contrasting appliqued “stitching”. Once completed, the piece can be worn as a scarf, or buttoned and doubled as a cowl.
