Cassia Cardigan
PATTERN NOTES
The Cassia Cardigan is oversized and airy, making it a perfect, three-season layering piece. This is a project that is sure to keep you interested. Although the stitch patterns in this design are simple, special details make this garment shine.
The cardigan is worked flat in three pieces – the sleeves are cast-on and worked with the body. The body of the cardigan features A-line shaping and an open, sloping edge along the front. After the pieces are seamed, the garment is finished with an edging of stockinette and K1, P1 Rib.
During all shaping, take care to read the instructions thoroughly. Side Shaping and Neck Edge Shaping occur at different rates. The Neck Edge Shaping will continue after the Sleeve cast-on. When working decreases in Garter Eyelet Ladder pattern, maintain decreased stitches in pattern. If there are not enough stitches to work decreases and corresponding increases in the pattern stitch, work these extra stitches in garter stitch instead.
