Cassandra's Orchid Headband
A twist in the center of this headband adds an elegant touch to the basic ribbed pattern. The twist is made with a cable needle and is easy to do for anyone who is familiar with cable knitting.
Suitable for any solid color worsted or aran weight wool with good stitch definition (not to fuzzy). Some yarns that would work well are suggested.
The headband is knitted flat and has a two-button closure at the back of the neck.
Included are complete written instructions, an optional chart for the twist, and links to a video for the button-hole cast-on.
Equipment needed includes: straight size-8 knitting needles or size to achieve the gauge, a cable needle, and a sewing needle,
Materials needed are: the yarn, thread that matches the color of the yarn, and 2- 5/8” to 3/4” buttons.
