Cashmere sweater
by Jean Muir
“Jean Muir’s knits are classic, fluid and understated as her famous jersey dresses. Her silversand cashmere jumper is worked, from a long waist ribbing, in stocking-stitch with a lacy pattern. The sleeves are set into a very deep armhole to give a dolman effect but a neat shoulder line. A long ribbed cuff and ribbed cowl neck give symmetry to the sweater” (description from p/b edition, 1983 p. 61).
Only one size offered: 32-34” (80-85 cm) across chest.
Yarn stated: Woollybear Cashmere by Patricia Roberts, 10 x 25g balls; this is still available here(as of June ‘14), and in the yarn database under ‘Patricia Roberts Cashmere No. 1’ (the older put-ups may have been slightly finer).
