I’m leaping into lace with Carte Blanche—a clean slate and full permission to follow my knitting instincts wherever they lead.

Carte Blanche was designed for 2025’s N Club. The pattern will be released to all in April of 2026. Sign up for my newsletter (below) if you want to hear about future clubs and when Carte Blanche releases.

Carte Blanche is knit with two skeins of the dreamiest baby yak lace weight from mYak. Soft, creamy, and ethically sourced from Tibetan herders, the yarn lives up to its name—blanche like a fresh canvas, ready for the vision.

The construction begins with a semi-circular swoop construction and worked from the top down with a garter tab. Lola’s Two-Timing Technique is used to create undulating welts—neatly packaged waves that dance alongside airy lace panels. As the shawl grows, the welts and lace take turns, alternating with texture and lace until it all comes together with an integrated lace border for the final flourish.

Want help knitting Carte Blanche? No problem. I made you a full-length video tutorial to walk you through every swoop, welt, and lacey stitch.

N Club members- there are two files to download, one for Carte Blanche, and one for the Phoenix Pendant!
