This asymmetrical shawl is bursting with Tunisian texture. Three different stitch patterns are used in varying heights for perfectly proportioned stripes. The unique blend of Merino, angora, alpaca, and silk adds an extra element of luxury and richness to this one-of-a-kind piece.

Yarn HiKoo Kenzie (distributed by Skacel) (50% New Zealand Merino, 25% nylon, 10% angora, 10% alpaca, 5% silk noils; 160 yd 146 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #1011 tamarillo (red) (A) and #1010 glacier (B), 2 balls each.

Hook Size J/10 (6 mm) Tunisian hook, 24” cable; size J/10 (6.0 mm) standard crochet hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions Yarn needle.

Gauge 12 sts = 3” and 3 rows = 1” in tss; 14 sts = 4” and 11 rows = 3” in honeycomb stitch.

NOTES

  • The scarf is worked bottom up in two colors of yarn and three different Tunisian stitches.

  • Increases are made on both the right and left edges as indicated in the pattern.

  • Because of the increases on the right edge, the first vertical bar will always be worked except on Row 1 and the bind-off row.
