To make life easier for the knitter, the body is worked in one piece to the armholes, then divided (no side seams to muck up the patterning). Both the shawl collar and the plain V-neck borders are picked up from the fronts and worked in two pieces, joined at the back neck. This is a very winsome collection with more interest than most pieces of this kind.

The bonnet is sized from birth - age 2 only. What 7-year-old could be conned into wearing it? Adorable though it is.
