The Cardiff Coast Sweater is a size-inclusive knitting pattern for a beautiful striped sweater with floral lace stitch and textured contrasting garter stripes. Feeling light as air and soft as a whisper on your skin, the Cardiff Coast Sweater is a simple knit for an adventurous beginner.
Want to try your first lace pattern? Try the Cardiff Coast Sweater! The floral lace looks more complicated than it is, and I promise, it is fairly easy to knit! It’s also a great way to play with colour: add stripes in garter stitch and floral lace for softness and added texture.
You can also simply make it it one colour!

The soft-as-air fabric is knitted in lush Cardiff Cashmere Classic, a 100% Cashmere yarn created in Italy.

Pair it with your favourite jeans, or throw it over your summer wear on a cool evening.

Available in sizes XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, to fit bust sizes 29 (31, 34, 38, 42, 44)(48, 50, 54, 58)”/ 74 (79, 86, 96, 106, 111)(122, 127, 137, 147) cm, this sweater is designed to be worn with 3 - 4” (7.5-10 cm) of positive ease, depending on your personal preference. Model is wearing size S on a 34” bust.

This is a easy-intermediate level knitting pattern. For this pattern, you will need to know how to knit and purl stitches, and perform simple increases and decreases. You will also knit a floral lace pattern that is easy to follow.

Materials needed:
Cardiff Cashmere Classic (100% Cashmere) 120 yds (110 m) /25 grams or another DK weight/category 3 yarn. Please note that the lightness of this sweater is due to the lightness of Cashmere.
Approximately 690 (706, 753, 851, 1009, 1055)(1118, 1160, 1290, 1362) yd / 631 (646, 688, 778, 922, 965)(1022, 1061, 1180, 1246) m of colour Runner for MC and approximately 366 (375, 399, 451, 535, 560)(593, 615, 684, 722) yd / 335 (343, 365, 413, 489, 512)(542, 563, 626, 661) m of colour Neige for CC.

Sample is worked in Cardiff Cashmere Classic in Runner (MC) and Neige (CC).

4 mm (US 6) circular or straight needles
Note: Adjust needle size to obtain gauge.
