I designed this hat for a friend who had breast cancer. She is now cancer free & enjoying life.

The breast cancer ribbons pop out on this two tone garter stitch background using a slipped stitch cabling technique. Only one color is worked at a time. There are 5 breast cancer ribbons evenly spaced around the hat. It is knit bottom up in the round. Written and charted instructions are provided.

One of the colors used will be pink to form the breast cancer ribbon. The contrast color can be any color (solid, tonal, variegated or gradient). The hat requires approximately 115 yards of the pink yarn and 100 yards of the contrasting color so it is a great stashbuster. Any fingering weight yarn can be used.

This hat is a great chemo cap for someone you know or to donate to a local chemo center. It is also fun to wear to a breast cancer fundraising event.

Please consider donating to your local breast cancer research foundation.
