Note yardage has been updated! The shawl has taken between 200-350 yards of DK weight yarn in each color for different knitters, please plan your yarn accordingly!

The Camp Wilkerson shawl was inspired by a gorgeous printing of John Muir’s Wilderness Essays (pictured in photos). I was inspired by the colors, lines and of course the words of John Muir to create this huge and cozy wrap.
This asymmetrical, arrow-shaped wrap is worked from end to end, starting at the arrow point.
The pattern was designed to utilize most of an entire 250 yard skein of Splendid DK yarn (or DK weight yarn of your choice, as long as the yardage is sufficient) in each of the 4 colors used. Have fun playing with color combinations on the coloring sheet included on the last page of the pattern to create your own signature statement piece.
Alternating sections of garter stitch, stockinette and a central eyelet panel keep this knit interesting and relaxing. Suitable for an advanced beginner.
Yarn kits are available from Little Fox Yarn in the colorway used for the sample, as well as many more colors to choose from in her shop!
