First seen in TOFT Quarterly Magazine’s Winter 2019 issue, Callum the Sea Lion has been a firm favourite in the menagerie, particularly for crocheters looking to expand their skillset with techniques including splitting a round and changing colour.

Sea lions belong to the same order of marine mammals as seals, but the most noticeable difference is that sea lions can walk (and even run!) on land using their four flippers. Some species of sea lion can dive up to 300 metres when swimming, and they can hold their breath for up to 20 minutes.

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Sea Lion will be approximately 38cm long from front of head to end of back flippers.
