“Whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul… and… it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people’s hats off - then I account it high time to get to the sea as soon as I can.” ~ Herman Melville, “Moby Dick”

It’s time to take to the sea! If you’re bored of boring socks and the thought of knitting another pair of plain socks makes you feel like it’s November in your soul, set sail with a pair of lacy whale tail socks!

These socks can be knit as either anklets or full leg socks - your choice! They feature an easy toe up/short row heel construction so you can just enjoy knitting the whale tail motif!
