Scottish details on another scarf with the fling shape I favour - a crescent shape knitted like a shawl to wear like a scarf.

You start with just a few stitches and knit to the size you like or your yarn allows

The pattern is listed as DK weigiht, but you can use any weight from fingering to aran - check the yds/meters, not skein/ball weight of the yarn.

The details are much easier than they look:

• the colourwork is mosaic knitting so you only work with one colour at a time and there’s not much, but it’s carefully positioned so it’s the main feature.

• the cables are mock cables so no cable needle or crossing required.
