This cardigan vest is the perfect layering piece for chilly fall days. The wide honeycomb cables and nested pockets contrast with the simplicity of a wide, Reverse Stockinette striping pattern on the garment’s back. The choice of wooden toggle closures completes this rustic-yet-sophisticated look from designer Stephen West.

CONSTRUCTION
Caldwell is worked flat from the bottom up in 3 separate pieces: Right Front, Left Front, and Back.

MATERIALS
Approx. 730 (825, 905, 1020, 1130) yards of Brooklyn Tweed SHELTER in Main Color (MC) and 120 (135, 150, 165, 185) yards in Contrast Color (CC)
6 (6, 7, 8, 9) skeins of MC and 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) skeins of CC; Sample shown in “Nest” (MC) and “Woodsmoke” (CC)

GAUGE
19 sts & 28 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch with Gauge Needle

NEEDLES
One pair of straight needles in size needed to obtain gauge listed above
One pair of straight needles, one 16” circular needle, and one 40” circular needle – all one size smaller than Gauge Needle
Suggested sizes: US 7 (4.5 mm), and US 6 (4 mm)
