Caddy's Cardigan Child's Version
Cute cardigan can be made from the leftovers in your stash. Garment is worked in the round in stranded fairisle stockinette stitch, from a chart.
Level of Difficulty: Intermediate
Measurements:
- Chest: 30 (32, 34, 36)“
- Length: 15 (17, 19, 21)“
Materials:
- Main Color (MC) in DK weight yarn: 110 yds or approx. one 1.75oz / 50g ball in navy to work edgings. If working chart pattern with a repeating color, a 2nd ball is necessary.
- Contrasting Colors (CC) in DK weight yarn: various colors. To work 2 chart rows/rnds for body: 10 (10.5, 11.5, 12)’ lengths. To work 4 chart rows/rnds for body: 20 (21.5, 22.5, 24)’ lengths. (It takes twice the width of a row/rnd to work one row/rnd. For example, a row 20” wide would take 40” of each CC.)
- Seven 5/8” buttons in CCs.
Needles:
- US 3 and 5 / 3.25 and 3.75 mm circular needles, both in 16” / 40 cm and 24” / 60 cm lengths
- Optional: US 5 / 3.75 mm double-pointed needles
- US D / 3.0 or 3.25 mm crochet hook
