Welcome to your January 2021 Hat of the Month at Makers’ Mercantile!

This month we surprise you with something new. Inside your kit you will find one coil of our Kinky Yarn, as well as two small bottles of blue liquid. This is dye! That’s right, if you haven’t guessed it by now, you are going to dye your own speckled yarn this month!

Now don’t get scared, this is the easiest and cleanest dye job you will ever do! It will take a whole a ten minutes of your time (with some hours in-between for the dye to dry).

Once the dyeing is done, the knitting fun begins. Follow this easy pattern as you unravel the coil of yarn to knit your speckled hat.

This pattern includes instructions for speckle dyeing Kinky Yarn, plus the instructions on how to make this cabled hat.
