For the provisional cast on, we recommend the crocheted version. We recommend reading the stitches and abbreviations for details on stitches. The socks are worked from the toe up, working back and forth short rows to create the toe and the heel. The toe and the heel are worked the same for both socks. The only difference is when you arrive to the heel turn, you stop working the 28 instep stitches. The first round from the written instructions is not charted but will need to be worked as it includes an increase. The 6 round repeat is charted for easy reading.
