Jacket is knit in one piece to armholes. There are 10 cables (5 pairs of opposing honeycomb-like cables) on back and 5 cables on each front (2 pairs and 1 single cable, which becomes a set at center front, when jacket buttons). The lower body is shaped by decreasing the purl sts between cables … The wavy cables done by alternating direction of twist up each column transform at the waist to twist in the same direction and more frequently, which draws the fabric in. Then the cables are skewed on the bias for the front. The sleeves bias cuffs match the bodice, while their honeycomb cables match the hem. -- description from Loop-d-Loop, pg. 120
Other Materials: 12 1/2" post buttons, sewing thread and needle
Notes on Gauge: 16 sts / 24 rows = 3.25" over two 8-st reps of 5-st cables with 3 purl sts between, twisted every 6 rows
