My friend Connie and I used a vintage baby poncho for the inspiration for this pattern. We updated the style, making it more modern and added the cables and button closure.

I have added sizes to this pattern! It now has sizes from 6-12 months up to size 8.

Errata On the printed pattern, if you bought a copy prior to February 22, 2015, there is a typo. On the section, “Divide for neck opening:”. It should read as follows -

On the next row, remove starting marker, k1, p1, k1, pm, k1, p1, k1, k2tog then continue in pattern and working decreases to last 5 sts., ssk, p1, k1, p1. Remove marker.
