All right, it would probably show better in a quieter colourway. But this is an extremely attractive pattern, and a fun teaching one. The only time you have to pay attention is during the cable panel down the front of the sock; the rest is just merry old 2 x 2 ribbing. And there’s only serious cabling activity on even-numbered rounds. So there are lots of rewards and some intrigue to making this-- and it goes faster than usual, because of the slightly heavier weight than a conventional sock yarn. Rewarding.
