I created the Cabin Cowl pattern with the idea of taking the traditional log cabin square and turning it on its side for a modern look that showcases fabulous hand dyed sock yarns!

The Cabin Cowl can be worn loosely draped around your neck as a traditional cowl, or folded in half for more of a colorful necklace-type accent piece. Wearing orange? Give the cowl a twist until your orange square is front and center. Wearing navy or neutrals? Twist the cowl until the acid lime is in front for a WOW accent!

Perfect pattern for mini skeins or using up your leftover sock yarns! Combine colors and go crazy! My secret tip is to use ONE color in each square, as a way to tie the colors together, I used Spanish Silver as my unifying color.

Skills needed are casting on, knit, picking up and knitting stitches.

This is a super fast knit, perfect accessory for those cool spring days through winter and into fall. Heck, I even wore mine the other day because the air conditioning is so cold in my office! It goes with EVERYTHING!
