This shawl was designed for the 2022 Summer Yarn Club “Summer Buzz Club” - a collaborative yarn club by Longmont Yarn Shoppe, Bella Filati Yarns and The Studio Knitting & Needlepoint. This is the August 2022 Crochet design by Christianna Frenette Bowland, a LYS staff member.

The yarn was specifically dyed for this project.

Yardage requirements:
Main Color- 480 yds
Contrast Color - 80 yds

Optional materials- but highly suggested:
39 size 6/0 glass beads
Small Steel crochet hook to apply beads

We suggest using Theodora’s Pearls Auxanonmeter (AKA Dizzy Lettuce Auxanometer) for this project. The 100% bamboo yarn makes for amazing drape. Kits may be available at Longmont Yarn Shoppe for this project.

• The shawl is worked from the top down,
beginning at the center back.
• If you choose not to use glass beads, you will not
need the small steel crochet hook and omit the
“pb” in the picot. To complete picot, chain 3 and
slip stitch into the first chain.
• Turning chain 3 counts as the first stitch of every
row.
• Move the locking stitch marker up every row to
mark the center stitch.
