They may look challenging, but these hand warmers are a surprisingly quick knit considering their delicate and intricate texture. For knitters new to twisted stitches this is a great way to get familiar and adept. The endearing stitches are frivolous (yet compelling) while the accessory itself is fundamental for staying warm and maintaining full dexterity. Form has not come at the cost of function in this project. The anatomical thumb gusset provides a perfect fit.

In short, these gauntlets provide just what any buttercream should - a sweet flavor that is creamy and light. Unlike the edible variety, these won’t crack in the cold and have plenty of elasticity to follow your every move.

Shown in the 15” length version. Additional sizes can be achieve by adjusting gauge.

Buttercream is part of the serialized e-Book Nourishing Knits, where it is paired with a recipe for Rhubarb Filling & Almond Buttercream. Buttercream is also available for purchase individually, without the recipe pairing.
