Bursa
This pattern is part of Clare Devine’s sock knitting series, Sock Anatomy: Dissecting Heels and Toes. It is available as a single pattern or part of the e-book.
Bursa
Fun ankle socks, perfect for warmer weather. Columns of eyelets and garter stitch create a lovely textured openwork fabric. This sock is knitted from the top down and features a soft and squishy garter stitch short row heel.

To fit approx: 12.5-14 (14-15, 15-16, 16-17) 18, 19.5, 22, 24,5, 27 cm / 5 – 5.5 (5.5 – 6, 6 – 6.25, 6.25 – 7) 7.25, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 10.5”
Note: the lace pattern is very stretchy. I would advise choosing the smaller size if you are unsure of which size to opt for.
The cast on has been adjusted to accommodate the different needle size for the cuff and the loose gauge for the leg. I strongly advise using the first portion of your leg as a swatch. If you are a loose knitter you may need to go down a needle size again for the leg portion.
