Burly Spun Purse
by Lorna Miser
DESIGNER NOTES
The purse is knit as a single rectangle, then folded to form the front and back of the purse. The lining is then cut as a single rectangle, and folded in the same manner. A zipper is attached to the “top” edges of the lining. The lining is inserted into the knit purse and attached. The handles are attached last.
Purse lining: Fat quarter quilting fabric in a coordinating
color (18” x 24”), 16” zipper and purse handles. Sewing
machine or needles and matching thread. (Optional: Lining
fabric may be fused instead of sewn by using a
fusible adhesive such as “Heat ‘n Bond Lite.”)
