Materials
12mm straight needles (40cm long), or one 60cm long circular needle used straight, or two 40cm long circular needles used straight
5 (6) x 50g balls Libby Summers Chunky in Yarn A
3 (4) x 50g balls Libby Summers Chunky in Yarn B

Tension
Unstretched
7 sts and 14 rows to 10 cm 4 in measured over brioche pattern using yarn DOUBLE
Stretched
5 sts and 14 rows to 10 cm 4 in measured over brioche pattern using yarn DOUBLE

To fit
Small Adult (Large Adult)

Finished Measurements
39 cm 15 ¼ in wide (after sewing up, when laid flat)
55 cm 21 ¾ in high, stretching to 60 cm 23 ½ in when sewn up
(ie. The stretched tension before sewing up will be greater than is - something like 78cm 30 ½ in - but the sewn edge pulls the knitting in to stop it stretching too much)

Notes
The cowl is designed to be oversized. If you want a less than super-bulky look then work the smaller size.

Work with the yarn double throughout. If working the smaller size you will need to split the last ball for each colour. You can work from the centre and from the outside of the cake at the same time, as the yarn is wound as a centre pull cake, so there is no need to re-wind the cake unless you want to.
