Bunting Scarf
Bunting Scarf is a bit of whimsy, a scarf knit in garter stitch from one end to the other, increasing and decreasing as you go to form gentle scallops. Choose from a shorter, narrower style that ties once at the neck, or a longer, deeper version to bundle up.
MATERIALS
Large: Mondim by Retrosaria (421 yds per 100-g skein), 1 skein, shown in color 213; and Silk Mohair by Isager (230 yds per 25-g skein), 1 skein (though depending on gauge and actual yardage in skein you may need 2 skeins), shown in color 0
Small: Dystopic Fingering by Dystopic Fibre (459 yds per 100-g skein), 1 skein, shown in color Fly Agaric; and and Silk Mohair by Isager (230 yds per 25-g skein), 1 skein, shown in color 63
US 5 (3.75 mm) straight or 24” circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
DIMENSIONS
Small (Large)
5” (6”) wide at deepest point x 63” (84”) long, after blocking
GAUGE
23 sts and 38 rows = 4” in garter stitch
Finished dimensions and gauge will vary depending on the fingering-weight yarn you choose. Gauge is not critical to this project.
