Bumpy Cowl
The Bumpy cowl features i-cord stripes that uses the same technique as the Moonbumps wrap & cardigan. It’s a great way to highlight a beautiful gradient yarn like Spincycle Yarns or your own handspun yarn.

❖ Yarn A (beige): 395 yd / 360 m, or 2 skeins of British DK from Les Garçons
Weight: Sport
Yarn B is thinner than Yarn A to avoid puckering on the i-cord stripes
❖ Yarn B (gradient): 120 yd / 110 m, or 1 skein of Dyed in the Wool by Spincycle Yarns
Sample shown in British DK from Les Garçons (75% bluefaced leicester wool, 25% masham wool, non-superwash; 263 yd / 240 m per 100 g skein), in the “Twyla’s Sand” colourway (Yarn A), and in Dyed in the Wool from Spincycle Yarns (100% merino wool; 200 yd / 183 m per 50 g skein), in the “Small Wonder” colourway (Yarn B).
NEEDLES
Circular needles, 24” / 60 cm, in two sizes
❖ Main needles: US 5 / 3.75 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
❖ Ribbing needles: US 3 / 3.25 mm, or 0.5 mm smaller than main needles
GAUGE
❖ 21 sts and 32 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch with Yarn A, blocked
