BUMLE - a top with bumpy edges
About the design…
The top is knitted top-down in Stockinette Stitch.
You start with the neckband, and from here you knit back and forth the upper part of the back and front, shaping it with increases along the armhole and on the front - partly for decoration, and partly for more width. The rest of the body is worked in the round.
Finally the armhole-edges are knitted directly on the neckband, flowing together over the shoulders.
Special to the Bumle design are the “bumpy” edges, which is a pin-tuck, that is knitted in a different and very easy way, and prevents your edges from rolling.
