This hat pattern was inspired by folks who wanted to make hats for the entire family, from babies up to adults, who had a hard time finding single patterns that could accommodate everyone. So I decided to oblige. I’ve also included options for four different styles of brims: garter stitch, garter rib, 2x2 ribbing and 4x4 ribbing. The smallest hat fits the heads of most babies, and the largest is so large, you might be able to fit it around a basketball (I can’t actualy confirm this, as I did not make an actual sample of this monstrous size).

Besides the recommended yarns, you can use any good, worsted weight yarn that is washable. You will need size US 8/5mm 16” circular needles and DPNs. The approximate amount of yarn is listed in the pattern, with most needing less than 100 g of worsted weight.
