Striped beret designed for 2 x 30g balls of yarn given away free with Let’s Knit! Magazine 33, August 2010. Bergere de France Sport yarn is given in the pattern as an alternative. It is designed to be knitted flat and seamed, but can easily be knitted seamless on circulars or dpns. 1 x 30g ball of each of two colours are required in the recommended yarn.

Some Ravellers have run out of the free yarn before finishing, but others who knitted in the round and did not leave long ends of yarn when changing colour said that they had enough to finish. So the understanding is that 2 x 30g of the recommended yarn is barely enough for this pattern.
