Bubbly Ballet Slippers
A quick note on length: when you try these on you want to pull and stretch them so they are comfortable but not relaxed. Quit knitting when the work is folded in half around the back of the heel and the needles do NOT touch but have approximately one row of distance between them. Just be sure not to stop after a bubble row.
Worked toe-up with gripping garter soles and simple detail around the ankle, these bulky-weight slippers knit up quickly. These flattering slippers are finished with a grafted heel and will stretch to fit many sizes. This pattern has been test knit and tech edited for quality and clarity.
Finished Size: 5.75 (6.875, 8.5, 9.7)” 14.5 (17.5, 21.5, 24.5) cm to fit a foot circumference up to 7 (8.25, 9.75, 11)” 17.75 (21, 24.75, 28) cm when worn with negative ease. Length is customizable with general lengths given, but for more accurate fit, try them on the foot that will be wearing them.
Yarn: 70 (95, 135, 170) yards 64 (87, 124, 156) meters of bulky yarn when knit with measurements given. Shown in Three Irish Girls Springvale Bulky in Riley. Using a non-superwash yarn will cause the slippers to felt a bit on the soles as you wear them.
Needles: 1 set of US10 (6mm) circular needles for magic loop (or needles required for preferred method of small circumference knitting). Adjust needle size to obtain gauge.
Notions: 2 stitch markers, yarn needle for weaving in ends
