I thought of the idea for the Bubbles sock while snorkeling with my in-laws on a seaside vacation earlier this year. The intercrossing cables create streams of bubbles like while snorkeling or scuba diving.

The gusset shaping on the Bubbles sock is a little bit different with the decreases occurring on the top of the foot. I like the way it hugs the foot even in plain stockinette stitch.
