With this design, Sigurjonsdottir combines many distinct elements into a satisfying whole (that’s easier to knit than it appears at first glance). The body is worked as a single piece, back and forth up to the armhole. Sleeves are knit separately in the round. Then the sts of the sleeves and body are joined on one needle and the yoke worked back and forth (with raglan sleeve shaping). The red trim is st st-- simple. The Einband is a very fine yarn with a lot of body to it, and makes a very light but simultaneously sturdy garment. Garter ridges are charmingly called just “garters” in this pattern. This design is from Lopi Book 31.
