Christmas dinner just isn’t the same without Brussels Sprouts. Love them or hate them, you can also knit them! These make fun place setting decorations for your dinner table, or hang them from your tree. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the sprout is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
A few grammes of Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; shade “Grass”

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, adhesive wobbly eyes, and toy filling or cotton wool balls to stuff.

SIZES
One size only - 5cm wide.

TECHNIQUES
For beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and a little seaming to finish.
