Brother & Sister Dolls
by Gwen Merrill
This sweet pair of dolls were designed by Gwen Merrill. They’re about 42 cm high and come with their own set of clothing.
The body, face and hair are knitted in one piece and seamed down the back. The neck is drawn in after filling the head, and the arms, legs and clothes are knitted separately (note: the socks/stockings and shoes are non-removable).
You will also need the following items:
- Sue: two 8 mm shanked button for shoes; three 8 mm buttons for dress
- Sam: three 8 mm buttons
- One double-pointed needle
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester fibre for filling
The pattern recommends 5-ply yarn for the body and clothing, and 20-ply boucle yarn for the hair.
