Bronwyn
If you put three of my patterns in your cart for purchase, the fourth pattern will be free.
I designed this with the idea that I wanted to knit a bit of lace, have an end product that was pretty, but be able to successfully rescue my project when Junior was busy wrapping bacon around the cat (or his sister.) Too much lace and it would be a loss the first time I had to throw it down in the midst of child chaos. Too boring and it’d never get done. A few more details of how it came to be are in my project section.
This is also designed to flatter many different sizes. It is not meant to close in front, so well endowed women, fear not - It’ll look wonderful on you, too! The gathering of the ribbon makes it adjustable to fit up to size 3x.
I encourage you all to use your creativity and rip some fabric for the tie, knit an I cord if you aren’t a ribbon type (not a ribbon type?! Horrors!) or even sew in elastic to keep it gathered and then close it with a button. Most of all I really want you to feel inspired as you knit, wear or give this away and think of me in my Madelinetosh wiping the cat down after the bacon escapade.
