Bromeliad Beanie is a unisex design featuring a left twist rib and a removable fur pom-pom.

Materials:
100 - 200m of 8ply/DK.
Samples shown use Drops Merino Extra Fine and White Gum Wool hand-dyed by Mahogany Turtle.

Needles:
4mm 40cm circular needles and 4mm Double Pointed needles (DPNs) or
4mm 60cm+ circular needles for magic loop method. Needle size may need to achieve correct gauge) and 3.5mm 40cm circulars or half a size smaller than you gauge size.

Gauge:
10x10cm in stockinette = 24st x32 rows.

Notions:
8 stitch markers (one in a distinctive colour or design).
Darning needle.
15cm square of faux fur.
13mm metal press stud.
Strong thread.
Sharp pointed scissors.
Small amount of hobby fill.

Guage:
24 sts x 32 rows = 10cm in stockinette.
A guage swatch is important to make the Bromeliad in the correct sizes..
Sizes:
Please note ages are guidelines only please check head circumference.

Toddler (T): fits approximately 1-3yrs. Head circumference up to 46cm. Beanie dimensions 16cm wide at brim, 18cm tall.

Small child (SC): fits approximately 3-5yrs. Head circumference up to 52cm. Beanie dimensions 17cm wide at brim, 20cm tall.

Child-Teen (CT): fits approximately 5-pre teen. Head circumference up to 54cm. Beanie dimensions 18cm wide at brim, 22cm tall.

Small Adult (SA): fits approximately Teen+. Head circumference 54-56cm. Beanie dimensions 19cm wide at brim, 23cm tall.

Large Adult (LA): fits approximately Adult+. Head circumference 56-61cm. Beanie dimensions 20cm wide at brim, 25cm tall.
