A subtly textured hat with a thick folded brim, this hat starts with a super simple, but beautifully thick tubular cast on. It is then is knit in the round from brim to crown in a simple Honeycomb Brioche stitch.

One skein of any Kettle Yarn Co. Aran weight yarn is enough for all sizes, and TWIST skeins can be used for a contrast pom pom.

See a video on picking up the dropped Brioche stitch using the Fisherman’s Rib method at New Stitch A Day

PLEASE NOTE: the video shows the method in the flat whereas the hat is knit in the round so you will be picking up the stitch from the FRONT and there is no purling.

Hope this helps! Enjoy!
