Gauge: 17 sts in 10cm/ 4in stockinette stitch. Row gauge is not important for this pattern, as all the measurements are given in both centimeters and inches. Only the stitch count matters!

This balaclava is knit bottom up.
The neck part is knit in the round, the hat part is knit flat. The face opening binding / drawstring tunnel is knit in the round.

You will need: up to 200g Aran yarn, knitting needles to obtain the gauge (for knitting flat and for knitting in the round), two stitch markers, a locking stitch marker, a darning needle.
The pattern is available in four sizes: 8-12yrs, teen/size s, adult m/l, and adult xl.
