Brighter Day
When the day seems long and the light never quite reaches us, that’s when this shawl came to life. With a strong wish for a Brighter Day.
This shawl is a triangular shawl that starts in the top middle and work its way outwards. The pattern is given in both written and charted form. You can use any weight of yarn for this shawl, it’s totally up to you how you would like yourBrighter Day to feel and look.
Yarn: You can use what ever yarn you want to this shawl. Sample knit in SKeW Merino DK, 266m/100g 100% Organic Merino, 200g to make a shawl that measures 170 cm along the top edge.
Needles: Depending on your yarn choice, use a needle 1-2 sizes bigger than you normally would use for the yarn. Sample knit with 5 mm, 100 cm long.
Other notions: A darning needle to weave in the ends. Stitch markers could be helpful.
Gauge: is not that important with this project, as long as you get a fabric that you are happy with.
Sizes: This shawl is easy to make as big or as small as you would like, but to make a shawl that sits nice I would recommend to make the top edge at least 160 cm long.
