The origins of Chullo hats goes back hundreds of years. In the Peruvian Andes, they are traditionally knit by men. I am not of Peruvian or Spanish origin & do not claim these to be authentic, but just a love letter to an ancient knitting tradition. After looking at hundreds of photos and many books, I have created my own knit “mashup” of color and shape inspired by these caps.

Four sizes are included. Extra Small (XS) , Small, Medium, Large. Medium Size shown in photos. Always choose size to knit based on desired circumference.

MC : Malabrigo Rios Coco or Black ( 40, 50, 65, 80 ) yds / ( 36, 45, 58, 73 ) m.
CC1 : Malabrigo Rios Green Apple ( 14, 18, 21, 24 ) yds / (13, 17, 19, 22 ) m.
CC2 : Malabrigo Rios Aquamarine ( 18, 20, 22, 24 ) yds / (17, 19, 20, 22) m.
CC3 : Malabrigo Rios English Rose ( 18, 20, 22, 24 ) yds / (17, 19, 21, 22 ) m.
CC4 : Malabrigo Rios Fuschia ( 14, 16. 18, 20 ) yds / (13, 15, 17, 19 ) m.
CC5 : Malabrigo Rios Sunset ( 18, 20. 22, 24 ) yds / (17, 19, 20, 22 ) m.
CC6 : Malabrigo Rios Cian ( 15, 18. 21, 24 ) yds / (14, 17, 19, 22 ) m.

US Size 7 / 4.5 mm 16 or 24 in. Circular Needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
If desired, choose needle 1 size smaller than needle that gives gauge for rnds prior to first chart.
DPNs in same size as above to complete decreases.
